New accessoires Belkin come to Lureox. This time, the subject is not sleep or comfort in transport, but another sensitive point of the modern journey: keeping your devices loaded, accessible cables and technical equipment well organized.
Three products will allow us to explore this question: Power charger GaN BoostCharge Pro 140 W with four portsone USB-C to USB-C 2 meter braided cable announced for 240 W and one trousse Travel Tech Organiser.
Their arrival is not yet a recommendation. Before deciding which travellers they can really suit, we will manipulate them, photograph them and especially confront them with concrete uses.
Energy on the move: many small objects for real need
Smartphone, laptop, headphones, connected watch, reader or external battery: devices multiply rapidly in a luggage. With them come the chargers, cables and adapters, which sometimes end up scattered between several pockets.
The interest of this Belkin selection is therefore its complementarity. The charger must centralize the power supply, the cable connecting compatible devices and the kit assemble the assembly in an identifiable space.
On paper, this organization can simplify departures and avoid taking several load blocks. The tests will, however, have to determine whether this gain remains real once the weight, volume, aircraft used and travel constraints are taken into account.
A GaN 140 W charger with four ports to test
The first product is the Belkin BoostCharge Pro 140 W 4-Port GaN Wall Charger. Its package includes four ports and interchangeable plug adapters for US, European and UK sockets.
This type of charger can be of interest to passengers who carry several devices and wish to limit the number of power adapters. But the maximum power displayed is not enough to judge actual use.
In particular, we will seek to understand how power is distributed when multiple ports are used, which devices can be loaded simultaneously, whether the format remains practical in a kit and how the charger behaves during extended sessions.
A USB-C 240 W cable of 2 meters for more freedom
The second product is Belkin Boost Charge Pro USB-C cable to braided USB-C, an announced length of 2 metres and compatible, depending on its packaging, with a power of up to 240 W.
A length of 2 meters can be useful in a hotel room, a coworking space or close to a hard to reach outlet. In return, the cable takes more space than a short model and must remain easy to wrap and store.
Future tests will therefore examine charging performance as well as daily use: flexibility, how well the connectors hold, how much space it takes in a pouch and how easily it packs away after repeated use.
A kit to organize technology accessories
The third product is the Belkin Travel Tech Organiser, a kit designed to group chargers, external batteries, cables and other small accessories.
A technical kit is useful only if its internal organization actually corresponds to the equipment being transported. Too small, it forces to force or leave elements behind. Too large, she unnecessarily occupies space in the luggage.
We will examine its actual capacity, access to the various compartments, the maintenance of accessories and the ease with which it can move from a work bag to a cabin baggage.
What future tests should check
These three accessories will be studied as a set, but also separately. The objective will be to determine whether each person is making a concrete improvement and whether the combination remains consistent according to the traveller's profile.
We will look at compatibility with different devices, organisation inside luggage, packed size, ease of use and any limitations found in real travel.
The results will then be used to enrich the guides on travel tech accessories, comparisons and Lureox recommendations. As always, we will clearly distinguish the characteristics announced on packaging from what we have actually observed.
The products have arrived and the first photo is made. There is now the most important part: to use them sufficiently to be able to speak seriously about them.
