Legal information

Terms of use

These terms govern the use of the Lureox website, its content, its travel-planning tools and its links to third parties.

1. Publisher and purpose

Lureox is a French editorial service providing travel and equipment information, recommendations and comparisons. Its publisher is identified in the legal notice.

These terms are available before the tools are used. The website provides travel-planning tools at no charge and an account area. Any consent relating to data or cookies is requested separately: using the website does not constitute consent to third-party audience measurement.

2. What Lureox does — and does not do

Lureox helps users plan a trip and compare available information about products, equipment, baggage rules, expenditure, cards and related services. Results are editorial content and estimates based on the information displayed and the criteria entered.

The planning tools do not book transport or activities, process travel payments, open bank accounts or take out insurance through Lureox. A saved selection or plan is not an order, ticket or certificate of cover. General information is no substitute for an assessment of your circumstances by a qualified professional.

The regulatory classification of an activity depends on how it actually operates, not on the name given to the service or on these terms. Any move towards booking, receiving funds or acting as an intermediary requires specific checks and disclosures before activation.

3. Recommendations, scores and estimates

Recommendations are based on selection criteria, available data and, where relevant, calculations performed locally. They are not a promise of savings or a guarantee of availability, compatibility, compliance, quality, safety or suitability for your circumstances.

Card and budget comparison tools use the amounts, fees and assumptions you enter. A card name alone is not enough to establish its cost: for a card that is not documented, you must enter and confirm the fees. For a documented card, public information must still be checked with the issuer before making a decision.

Miles, lounge access, insurance, warranties and exchange rates may depend on a card, status, limit, country, eligible payment or policy document. Lureox does not assign them a monetary value when they cannot be quantified reliably.

The comparison catalogue is not necessarily exhaustive. A score expresses a result based on the module’s criteria and data; it is neither a probability of satisfaction nor a certification. Read the explanations, dated sources and conditions that still need checking. An unknown value does not mean that a service is free or that cover is in force.

4. Essential checks before travel

You must check the applicable conditions directly with the relevant authorities, carriers, insurers, banks, retailers and manufacturers. These include tickets, entry documents, health requirements, visas, baggage allowances, dimensions, weight, prohibited items, warranties, limits, fees, exchange rates, availability and lead times.

A baggage-compatibility or preparation result is not permission to board, a guarantee that an item will pass a check, or confirmation of insurance cover. Only the conditions in force at the time of travel and the decisions of the competent parties take precedence.

5. Products, prices, stock and purchases from third parties

In the current version of the website, Lureox does not sell products or collect payments on behalf of a retailer. Any purchase, booking, subscription, delivery, return, refund, warranty, after-sales service, dispute or right of withdrawal is agreed directly between you and the third-party professional concerned.

Before making a purchase, check the total price, currency, taxes, customs charges, delivery and return costs, stock, lead time, delivery country, compatibility, contractual terms, warranties and seller identity on the third party’s website. Prices, promotions, specifications, images and availability shown by Lureox are indicative and dated where the date is known; the third-party website takes precedence at the time of purchase.

Before choosing and using a product, read its instructions, restrictions and the seller’s and manufacturer’s terms. Inclusion in a selection does not by itself establish availability in your country or acceptance by a carrier. These checks do not release Lureox from its own duties to provide information.

6. External links, affiliation, advertising and supplied products

Some links lead to manufacturers, retailers, platforms, banks, carriers or other third parties. Lureox does not control their content, availability, data processing or contractual terms. Visiting those websites and carrying out any transaction with them are subject to their own rules.

A paid link, sponsored item, commission, gifted product, loan, trip, invitation or any other benefit provided by a brand or partner is clearly disclosed close to the relevant content or link. This relationship must not change the ranking or selection; details are provided on the Independence and affiliate links page.

Official sources, including banking sources, are not purchase offers. Where no banking partnership is active, bank links are used only to verify published terms.

7. Data entered and security

Travel files are stored in the browser being used. Signing in does not by itself create a remote backup or synchronise files across devices. Clearing browser data, using private browsing or unavailable storage may prevent a file from being retrieved. Keep essential tickets and documents separately and check the save confirmations displayed.

Account data and locally stored travel data are separate. Read the privacy policy to understand the processing and exercise your rights. A sharing link can be sent to other people: check its content before sharing it and do not add confidential information.

Do not enter a payment-card number, banking security code, passport copy or medical document in the tools’ free-text fields. Use authentication fields only to sign in to Lureox. Protect your session and locally stored files on a shared device. These precautions do not replace Lureox’s own security obligations.

8. Intellectual property and use of the website

Content, methods, selections, databases, text and graphic elements created by Lureox are protected. Unauthorised reproduction, systematic extraction, commercial reuse, alteration or distribution is prohibited unless a legal exception applies or prior written permission has been granted.

Third-party trademarks, images and names remain the property of their respective owners. Their presence does not imply a partnership, endorsement or transfer of rights.

9. Availability and liability

Lureox makes reasonable efforts to provide an accessible service and carefully checked information but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or exhaustive market coverage. Maintenance, a security threat or an unavailable source may require a proportionate interruption or correction. These circumstances do not give Lureox a discretionary right to withdraw a service in breach of its obligations.

Lureox is liable for its own failures in accordance with applicable law. The fact that information comes from a third party or that a user must carry out checks does not exclude that liability. These terms do not remove or reduce a consumer’s right to compensation if Lureox fails to meet its obligations.

The professional with whom a contract is concluded is responsible for performing its service under the rules that apply to it. You may report an error in Lureox information or calculations for review. These terms do not impose a fixed compensation cap or a general waiver of legal remedies.

10. Reporting, changes and applicable law

To report incorrect information, unlawful content, an infringement of a right, an accessibility problem or any question about the website, write to contact@lureox.com. Identify the page and the problem without sending sensitive documents. Updates to these terms are dated and are not intended to change your rights retrospectively. Separate information or consent is obtained where a change to the service requires it.

These terms are governed by French law, subject to any mandatory provisions that provide greater protection to a consumer in their country of residence. If a dispute arises, we invite you to contact us first to seek an amicable solution. The competent courts are determined by the applicable mandatory rules.

11. Transfers and activities: planning is not booking

Geographical coverage is limited to the destinations and routes documented in the tool. A fixed taxi fare applies only within its stated area and under its conditions; metered journeys and quotations follow different rules. Surcharges, operating hours, capacity, accessibility, traffic and disruption must be checked with the operator. Suggested journey times and margins are not guaranteed schedules.

For activities, prices, discounts and free admission must be checked for each visit and each person. A suggested plan confirms neither timeslot availability nor the feasibility of every journey. Confirm opening days, admission conditions, required evidence and bookings with each venue.

12. Currency exchange, budget, cards and insurance

A dated reference rate is a conversion benchmark, not a guaranteed transaction rate. Commissions, fixed fees, rates applied by a cash machine or intermediary, and charges from your bank may change the final cost. Check the currency and total amount before confirming a transaction.

An amount added to the budget is a planning estimate unless it is explicitly identified as expenditure entered by you. It does not trigger a charge. Incomplete categories and unknown fees still need to be completed: a known total is not necessarily the full cost of the trip.

A selected card or documented insurance policy does not prove eligibility or that cover has been activated. Check beneficiaries, exclusions, excesses, limits, dates, covered activities and payment conditions in the applicable policy document. Only the competent organisation can confirm cover for your circumstances; in an emergency, contact the relevant assistance service or emergency services directly.

13. Illustrations and sources

Contextual images, including those created with the assistance of artificial intelligence, illustrate a theme and do not prove the actual condition of a place, its access conditions or the quality of a service. Source details are provided in the image credits and, depending on the content, near the illustration. Specifications relevant to a decision must be checked in the associated information and sources.
