The Lureox method

Two decisions, not one average score

A product's presence on Lureox does not guarantee that it suits your trip. We separate its admission to our editorial catalogue from its suitability for your particular search.

Methodical review of products and supporting evidence

Level 1

The Lureox Standard

Before appearing on the website, every product must meet our editorial threshold. This is a demanding admission process, but it is not converted into a public score out of ten.

Price and environmental information remain visible in the decision, but they can neither hide a significant weakness nor artificially inflate an average.

Level 2

Suitability for your needs

The engine does not look for a product that is “best overall”. It assesses products that meet the Lureox Standard and identifies those that best match the constraints you have provided.

It shows a suitability level and the number of relevant constraints met, such as budget, dimensions, trip duration, laptop requirements or intended use.

The five admission criteria

Practical relevance01

The product clearly meets a need and provides an identifiable benefit.

Design and manufacturing02

Its materials, assembly, components and finishes are sufficiently documented.

Reliability and longevity03

We examine the warranty, repairability, durability and the brand's product support.

Experience in use04

Ergonomics, simplicity, comfort and organisation are assessed in context.

Service and level of evidence05

Important information is dated and sourced, with its limitations made explicit.

How the engine decides

1

Your needs

The engine uses only the constraints you have actually provided.

2

Essential filters

Exceeding your budget or an incompatible size cannot be cancelled out by an average score.

3

Suitability

The displayed level summarises the constraints met without inventing a decimal score.

4

Explanation

The reasons for a choice, any exclusions and the trade-offs always remain visible.

Our publication standards

When can a product be published?

Exact identityRequired

The model and its version are identified unambiguously.

Dated manufacturer sourceRequired

The main specifications are linked to recent official documentation.

Dated retailer priceRequired

The displayed price is observed and dated separately from the stable product information.

Strengths and limitationsRequired

A product is never presented without its strengths and trade-offs.

Accessible evidenceRequired

Important claims are linked to their sources and limitations.

Key point: “Fully suitable” does not mean that a product is perfect. It means that it meets every constraint you entered. Without specific criteria, Lureox shows its editorial choice without inventing a score.
